Personal Data as Part of the Application Process
Personal data is information about the personal or factual circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person. This includes information such as your name, your address, your telephone number and your date of birth, but also data concerning your specific professional career, etc., which can be attributed to a specific person with reasonable effort.
Legal Basis and Purposes for the Processing of Personal Data in Applications and During the Application Process
If you apply to us electronically, i.e. by email or via our web form, we collect and process your personal data for the purpose of handling the application process and carrying out pre-contractual measures (Art. 6 (2) lit. b, a, f as well as Art. 88 in conjunction with Section 26 BDSG).
By submitting an application on our recruiting website, you express your interest in taking up employment with us. In this context, you provide us with personal data, which we use and store exclusively for the purpose of your job search/application.
In particular, the following data is collected:

Channel through which you became aware of us
In addition, you have the opportunity to upload meaningful documents such as a cover letter, your CV and certificates. These may contain further personal data such as date of birth, address, etc.
Only authorized employees from the Human Resources department and employees involved in the application process have access to your data.
The processing of personal data is generally carried out exclusively for the purpose of filling the vacant position for which you have applied.
Your data will be stored for a period of 4 months beyond the termination of the application process. This is generally done to fulfill legal obligations or to defend against any potential claims arising from statutory provisions. Subsequently, we are obliged to delete or anonymize your data.
This also applies, for example, to applications for an apprenticeship or internship position.
By giving your separate active consent, you agree to any further processing of your data and to being included in our “Talent Pool”. This data will be retained for a maximum of 3 years and then deleted. No further notification in this regard will be provided. Your rights pursuant to the GDPR remain unaffected by this.
If, as part of the application process, you receive an offer of employment with us and accept it, we will process the personal data collected as part of the application process at least for the duration of the employment relationship.
Disclosure of Data to Third Parties
The data submitted as part of your application is transmitted and processed using TLS encryption. This database is operated by Personio GmbH, which provides personnel administration and applicant management software (https://www.personio.de/impressum/). In this context, Personio is our data processor pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
Rights of Data Subjects
If personal data is processed by us as the controller, you, as the data subject, have certain rights under Chapter III of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), depending on the legal basis and purpose of the processing, including, where applicable, in particular the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), the right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), the right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), the right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), the right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and the right to object (Art. 21 GDPR). Processing of (personal) data by the operator of the recruitment website

This recruitment website is operated by Personio SE & Co. KG, which offers a human resource and candidate management software solution (https://www.personio.com/legal-notice/). Data transmitted as part of your application will be transferred using TLS encryption and stored in a database. The sole controller of this data within the meaning of article 24 of the GDPR is the enterprise carrying out this online application process. Personio’s role is limited to operating the software and this recruitment website and, in this context, being a processor under article 28 of the GDPR. In this case, the processing by Personio is based on an agreement for the processing of orders between the controller and Personio. In addition, Personio SE & Co. Access logs (“server logs”)
